Vitrahaus Campus

There are few things that I want to do more than to go to the vitrahaus campus in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Next time I am in Europe, a long layover in Germany will have to be on my list. The structure of the building is just so simple, but has such a presence, and makes a great statement. And don't get me started on their collection of furniture that they have inside. I could nut.

Illums Bolighus' Sit Stool

I ran into this stool while surfing Illum's website. It is stunning, clean, and simple. It seems as though it had been carved from a tree trunk, but don't fret, it is mostly bent (or entirely) laminated wood. And considering the design and beauty, a $500 price tag seems like a steal. As far as the name goes: sit stool? No shit, Sherlock. Come on, it's simple, but they should have tried a little harder.

Normann Copenhagen Norm 03 Steel Lamp

I love Normann Copenhagen. I have a few of their things already, like the stemless cognac glasses and their rocking cups (they rock back and forth when you set them down, but amazingly never spill an ounce of liquid-- great for clumsy house guests!).

One of the cool things about this lamp, is that they have a cheaper version of it made out of thick white plastic that comes disassembled and you put it together yourself: I love the idea, but am happy that they decided not to go that route with the stainless steel one: imagine the bleeding fingers: nay tak!

Minimalist Gaga? What!

Let's be honest. Using minimalist to describe Lady Gaga is ridiculous. And that is why I love this poster. In fact, I want it. Like badly.

W Table

So, it's actually called the tablemaster table, but I renamed it, because W table makes more sense to me. It is designed by Norwegian power duo Anderssen & Voll, which used to be one half of the dismanttled Norway Says (I'm waving a minimalistic flag in their memory). I love it for it simplicity, and stunning lines, but mostly because it makes sense: areas for magazines, and horizontal surfaces to put your most precious shit on. And by precious shit I mean your cup of coffee. And considering the table, your coffee mugs probably look something like this (I own the Process Yellow C cup):

But don't be uncouth: use a coaster.

Succulents make me giggle

...but boy are they gorgeous. This is my latest purchase. Like I just got it ten minutes ago. It's perfect.

please lean on me pillow

I love my new pillow. Just thought I would show you a picture of it. It was cheap (from CB2 obvi), but it just makes me happy. The opposite side is the opposite: white letters | black background.

Muuto Stacked Shelf System

Stunning. A good friend, Morten Kaaber, is the PR and Marketing Guru at muuto, and that is how I know the company. Since I am always on the verge of being broke, I will not be purchasing the real thing (diy project!), although a family and friend discount would be nice. It's a simple enough concept: modular shelving in three different sizes to meet your design and space needs. Check out their other products at muuto.dk
